Welcome to our website hipp.de and thank you for being interested in our company and products. As a matter of course, we take the protection of your data very seriously. Therefore, we like to inform you about how your personal data are processed by HiPP. The website hipp.de is provided by HiPP GmbH & Co. Vertrieb KG, Pfaffenhofen (hereinafter referred to as HiPP).

HiPP processes your personal data only if this is permitted on the basis of statutory regulations, or if you have given us your consent to do so. The basis, depending on the specific nature of data processing, is Art. 6 (1) a), b), c) or f) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).

If you would like information or want correction, data portability, deletion, restriction of / opposition to the processing, please contact our customer service via phone [phone number] or e-mail [e-mail address] at any time with regard to your rights to privacy. 1. Data processing

There are two ways in which we receive data: either you have given them to us or we have collected them while you used our services.

1.1 Data you have given to us

Generally, you can use our internet website without giving us your personal information directly. If you use certain services, for example the HiPP BabyClub , the newsletter subscription or the contact form, we will ask you for personal information. This might include, for example, your name, your e-mail address or your postal address. This will make the service in question faster and more user-friendly. Some services cannot even be provided without your data input. For further details on all services offered on hipp.de, please read section 2 of this privacy policy. The legal basis for the appropriate processing of your data is, unless otherwise specified in individual cases, Art. 6 (1) b) GDPR (contract performance or steps prior to entering into a contract).

1.2 Data we receive when you use our services

Some of the data are collected as soon as you visit our website.

1.2.1 Protocol data

The automatically collected data include the webserver’s protocol data. Every time you access a page of our online services and every time you download a file, the access data related to this process is saved in a protocol file on our server. Each dataset consists of:

  • the preceding page from which the new page or the file was requested
  • the name of the requested file or page
  • the date and time of the request, whether the request was successful and the server capacity utilization at the time of the request
  • the transferred data volume
  • the IP address which you were assigned by the provider
  • if you log on with a user account, also the login information for the relevant web service
  • the device used (mobile, desktop, etc.) and operating system, as well as
  • the browser software used.

Such stored information is exclusively evaluated anonymously for statistical purposes. In addition, the data can be evaluated anonymously for statistical purposes.

In order to be able to research appropriately in the event of technical malfunctions or possible attacks on our website and, if necessary, to report to supervisory authorities and security bodies, we delete the log data after 30 days.

The legal basis for the corresponding processing of your data is Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Letter f) GDPR (balancing of interests, based on our legitimate interest in maintaining the functionality of the website, misuse, especially registration under a false name, stopping and using our website to be statistically evaluated).

1.2.2 YouTube

On our website you can watch videos that we have published on the YouTube video platform. YouTube is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited ("Google"). These videos are provided directly by Google. Google processes the data generated in this process under its own responsibility; we have no access to this data. Information on this can be found in Google's privacy policy.

2. Applicant portal

You can apply online for a job at HiPP on our career portal - either in response to a job advertisement or simply on your own initiative. We use our application form to collect master data about you and other framework data as well as data about your school and vocational training. You also have the option of adding further attachments to your application, which you can upload to our career portal.

If your application is successful, we will continue to process your data for the purposes of the employment relationship. If your application is unsuccessful, we will delete your applicant data in compliance with data protection regulations no later than five months after completion of the specific application process for the position for which you have applied.

If we are still interested in your application data, we will save it with your consent for a further 12 months in our applicant pool and will contact you if there is a position at HiPP that matches your profile. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Revoking your consent does not affect the legality of the processing carried out on the basis of your consent up to the point of revocation.

The legal basis for the data processing described in this paragraph is Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Letter b) GDPR (contract fulfillment and pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Letter a) GDPR in conjunction with your consent.

3. Storage period

Personal data is only stored by us as long as is necessary to achieve the aims stated here and for as long as is legally allowed.

4. Your rights

On request, we will tell you if and which (if applicable) data on you we have stored. Insofar as the legal requirements are fulfilled, you have a right to the rectification, blocking or deletion of this data.

You furthermore have the right to receive the data that applies to you and which you have provided us with, in a structured, common and machine-readable form from us; you can pass on (or have passed on on your behalf) this data to other authorities.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the regulatory authority responsible for data protection.

Should you not (or no longer) be in a position to make decisions concerning your personal data, we promise to always respect your instructions and your will in this respect.
